II Samuel 22:2: "He said: The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer
. . ."

Since I am a Green Bay Packer fan, I am going to use an analogy to the "Green and Gold". Remember a few years back when they had a rough time winning games? There was always a hole somewhere in both their offense and defense. Then came Mike Holmgren and his coaching staff, the talent, and the wins! They added defensive strength in Butler and Reggie White. Offensively, Brett Favre took the reins, but there were many, many others who filled all the holes and made them a winner. In the past few years, as it is in professional sports, a lot of the players have left and it is tougher to win.

Meditate On This!!!

Our God is not only our "offense", but also our "defense". He is our "rock" - strong and able to uphold us and to stand upon Him; our "fortress" able to be our defense against the darts of the Devil; and our "deliverer" One who takes us where we need to be going.

We serve an awesome God, my friends! It is not trite to think in this way. Today, ask the Holy Spirit to show you how God is your "rock, fortress and deliverer". Maybe you are slipping away from that relationship, and instead of a rock, He is more like a pebble in your shoe. Instead of a fortress, He is a wall to keep you from going where you want to go. Instead of a deliverer, He is the One who has to recapture your thoughts.

Take time to seriously consider the game plan God has for you.
